Statement, 25/10/2023

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza demands our immediate attention. Amnesty International, the United Nations, and others have condemned the collective punishment of Gaza civilians as a war crime. In light of the withholding of fuel, food, water, and medicine to 2.3 million Palestinians, a genocide has unfolded. We are calling for an unconditional ceasefire, a restoration of aid into Gaza, and an end to the atrocities being inflicted on a largely civilian population.

While we condemn the attacks by Hamas on October 7th 2023 in the strongest possible terms, we emphatically believe that the unprecedented bombardment of the Gaza Strip and the indiscriminate killing of thousands of innocent children and civilians is not the path to a solution–history did not begin on 7th October, and nor will it end when Gaza has been razed to the ground.
